Hey, gals (and to maybe a few guys that might read our blog lol)! We had a great weekend in Austin with our life long friends Katherine and Hannah! We highly recommend Lone Star Court if past meets present, modern meets traditional boutique hotels tickle your fancy! Great customer service, pretty rooms, and we give the pool + bar an A+! Sunday we had brunch and went shopping down South Congress. I found the cutest tee that says “Dolly Parton Vibes” and Hailey found a 1930’s typewriter that she is BEYOND excited to put on her foyer table! That night we went to dinner at Eberly, the Raspberry Elyx was the perfect cocktail and the short rib was fantastic. Side note: we ordered banana pudding for dessert and it does not look like your typical banana pudding. Hannah decided that it looked like dinosaur eggs and that had me dying laughing in my seat! I’m saying I had actual tears rolling down my cheeks. You had to have been there, but it was hilarious! We wrapped up our trip paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake and lunch at Hopdoddy’s. Perfect quick trip in the books with our best gal pals!
Call me crazy, but I love to wear sweaters all year round. Yes, I live in Houston where the heat index was 110 degrees last weekend and it’s cold for maybe only two months out of the entire year. Sweater with a pair of jeans. Sweater with daisy dukes. Sweater with a skirt. Sweater over a bathing suit. So. Many. Options. I picked up this summer sweater a few weeks ago for our trip to Napa and it’s been on repeat every week since. It’s super lightweight making it perfect for the summer heat and the tassels add a pinch of sassiness (you know us, ALL about the sass)! I paired it with my trusty heels and a pair of mom jeans for a casual look that I would personally wear to brunch!
