Happy Labor Day! Because of Hurricane Harvey, all of my weddings for the past two weekends were canceled and I had the holiday weekend off, the first time a wedding has EVER been canceled. I haven’t had a Saturday off in almost a year, so I made the most of it and got to spend Friday morning with Paul and the weekend at the lake! My best friend Catherine has a house on Canyon Lake and we spent the past two days in the sun and cruising around on the boat. Which resulted in a pretty nice sun burn and a happy heart! After seeing so much devastation in Houston it really was a huge blessing that I got to go out of town for the weekend as I know so many were gutting their homes or in shelters around the city. Having a fun Labor Day weekend definitely wasn’t an option for most, but I’m so thankful that I got to spend it with my people.
