I hope my friends and family don’t miss me because I think I’m moving to Destin, Florida! I’ve had the best trip with Paul’s family that it’s going to be quite hard to go back to reality. I’ll do a full recap of our tip next week but I wanted to share our little day date from yesterday + my new favorite dress!
A couple weeks ago, I blogged about this dress in black and I wore to a wedding. I loved the fit, length, and how comfortable it was! So much that I had to get it in this gorgeous marigold color. The tie front is so flattering and really creates a slim waist and the faux wrap style is always a winner in my book. I paired it with these heels and my arc purse!
We’re staying at this house in Destin and Paul and I drove about 45 minutes east to Seaside, Florida! Hailey went several years ago and she absolutely LOVED it. It was the perfect beach town for lunch and shopping.
We had lunch at Great Southern Cafe. Holy moly, probably the best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had. Smoked Gouda and bacon, are you kidding me?! So delicious. Paul had the crab martini (basically crab ceviche) and seafood gumbo and it was so yummy.
We stumbled upon this cute little shop! It has really great gift items and home decor. I refrained from buying anything because all of my home things are in storage and Nana would lose it if I asked to store any more items for my future house! I like to plan ahead and she just doesn’t appreciate that! Anywho, The Art of Simple Co. is a must if you visit Seaside.
We each got a shirt from Seaside Classic. So basic, I’m aware, but you just can’t pass up a comfort color t-shirt. We ended the evening cuddled up on the porch to watch the sun go down. Perfect day with a perfect guy and my heart is so happy.
