Hey, gals!
How are all of my 2020 brides holding up?! We have been THROUGH IT! I think we all deserve an award for planning multiple, yes multiple, weddings during a pandemic! As you probably saw on social media, our Carmel, California wedding plans went to the wayside and we planned our reception at our beloved family lake house in Athens, Texas. As crazy as it all was, it was the most perfect night and almost as if it were our original plans all along! I’ll share more of our day in another post, but today I’m sharing how I spent my morning the day of our August reception!
Our day started off with mimosas and breakfast tacos by the lake, really how every morning should be spent in my opinion! After breakfast, primping and gift giving began! I was so thankful to work with one of my favorite brands, Robed With Love, as they graciously gifted all of our getting ready robes for myself, bridesmaids, and flower girls! They were unique and feminine and they were all perfectly packaged in embroidered drawstring bags! They made for lovely gifts!
My cutie nieces matched all of the bridesmaids and they were just precious!
I was honored to be one of the first bride’s to wear the Alanna Robe and the minute I put it on I felt like it was my wedding day/reception. I had been running around in my pajamas all morning not even realizing that everyone was there and everything that was happening was for Paul and I. When it was my turn to get my hair and makeup done, I took a quick shower and then slipped into the most beautiful getting ready robe. THAT was when it all felt real and all of the heartache, sadness, stress, and anxiety of planning two weddings during a pandemic all slipped away.
I gave the Champagne Hildy Robe as a gift to my bridesmaids and they absolutely LOVED them! Everyone looked so beautiful and were happy to have something they could wear again! The color was fabulous and so classy! The champagne color went with my wedding colors perfectly – highly recommend if you’re having a neutral color palette! The quality was also impeccable and I know that they will last for years to come!
All a bride really wants on the morning of her wedding is to be with her favorite people, feel pretty, and look cute. I can honestly say all of those boxes were checked for me.
X, Kailey
