Happy Monday, loves! I seriously can’t believe that it’s Thanksgiving week! Paul picked me up at the airport in Amarillo yesterday afternoon and we came to his family’s ranch in Childress for a few days to hunt and to get away! He took me out on my very first hunt this morning and I shot my first doe. I was so excited and even more happy that it was with him. I’m most certainly out of my element this week: early morning wake up calls, three layers of clothing to keep warm, shooting things, and not being able to talk while in the stand is not something I’m accustomed to. We were walking up to a stand last night and I’m just talking away and Paul goes “babe, let’s work on our quiet voices.” L. O. L. Oops! I’m learning!
Let’s talk about the most perfect carry-on!
Flying back and forth to Dallas I’ve figured out how to pack light and efficient with only carry-ons. I’m well aware of how high maintenance I am, I mean just ask all of my friends that NEVER let me forget it. I hate checking a bag when the flight is so short from Houston to Dallas, and getting all of my necessities in to two carry-ons has been a challenge that I have conquered with this weekender bag. The ultimate travel bag that has lasted me a solid three years, which is a record for me. I have a graveyard of Vera Bradley travel bags from back in the day and when I was floral print happy. My style has positively evolved since then. Y’all, I have a lot of stuff. And the weekender holds everythang that my small carry-on suitcase doesn’t. I usually put my make up bag, hair tools, toilette bag, laptop, shoes, purse (I cheat the system by putting a bag in to a bag), work binder, and pajamas in the weekender. Main reason because I put all of my clothes in the suitcase and I usually have to sit on it in order for it to close. My favorite thing about it is that I can fit at least four pairs of shoes with no problem in the bottom zippered section. This bag checks all the boxes of me. It’s roomy, classy aesthetic, versatile, and durable. Everything I’m looking for in a travel bag. Don’t let the low price tag fool you, it rivals some of the most expensive bags I’ve seen and quality is so important to me. A win in my book!
I hope everyone has a great week and sends themselves in to a food coma on Thursday! I hop on a plane back to Houston on Thursday morning to spend it with H and my mom and to rest up for a wedding on Friday. Sad Paul and I won’t be spending Thanksgiving together but I’m so looking forward to our trip to New York City next week, which I totally think makes up for missing turkey day.
Make sure you check back this week as I’ll be rounding up my favorite holiday sales!
