RIBBON IN HAIR | LOVELY | TIED SLEEVE
Hey, gals!
Ever get that feeling as if your work is a little lack luster? Where you have a vision on how you want something to turn out like a DIY project or a new recipe and it just doesn’t happen? Running three businesses, I definitely get in a mood where my creativity feels stretched too thin and I just run out of content ideas. I get in these creative ruts where I don’t feel inspired or I don’t know what content I want to create next. Just straight boredom with myself and anything/everything that’s going on around me. I usually get that feeling when my depression & anxiety is on full force. It truly is one of the most challenging parts of my job – managing my emotions/feelings all the while creating fun and interesting content. I wasn’t intending for this post to go in this direction, but I just wanted to share a little bit of my heart with you all today! What I really wanted to talk to y’all about was my obsession with Pinterest (palm to forehead lol!) and how Hailey and I recharge our content!
One of the best ways for me to find inspiration is running a hot Lush bath, putting on some music, and getting on Pinterest! I’m not quite sure what we ever did without it but I do know I would get a lot more sleep – I find myself at 3 AM just pinning away like I don’t have to get up in 4 hours for a shoot! I have boards upon boards of styling ideas, recipes, home decor, quotes, and wedding day dreams (whenever that day happens I’ll be ready lol!)
Looking through magazines or getting on Pinterest ALWAYS sparks a little something in me to create something new and different. I also think that’s where I find a lot of my interest for photography. By no means am I a professional, but it’s definitely the only hobby of mine that hasn’t turned into a career!

With our new website and new goals for the upcoming season, Hailey and I love to look through our | Style | board for new trends and styling inspo. We’re loving hair accessories and scarves right now. With H and Jacob getting in to their new house and I’ll soon be moving to Dallas, we’re always pinning to our | Where The Heart Is | board pretty frequently. Paul has kind of let me take the reins on decorating and a few home renovation projects and I have my eye on several color palettes + textures.
Finding ways to have relevant and on trend content is so important as a blogger, creative, or any type of artist. I’ve always said that I hope that our work inspires others because there are countless people that have inspired me.
